Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your items in order to maximize your gearing capabilities. It lets you add bonus stats and bonuses over the value of your base item.
Each upgrade template comes with set of options that can be configured through the GUI. These options include the upgrading reference and the chance to upgrade.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading weapons and armor in Cyberpunk has been reworked. Upgrade components are scattered across Night City. The item you wish to upgrade must also include an upgrade slot. When you select an item to upgrade it will show an overview of what the expected stats will be following upgrading, and the necessary component or item required. If you don't have the required component or resource to upgrade an item then the button will say "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include weapons and armor as well as a few trinkets and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on each of these can be filled with different upgrades that give you bonus points or additional effects when the equipment is being used. These upgrades can be obtained by crafting, bought from a seller, or taken as a reward.
There are two types of gemstones and universal upgrades. Upgrades can be removed and replaced by new ones that fit in the weapon's slot. However this will cause the destruction of any prior upgrades. Other upgrades, excluding for glyphs which can be placed in gathering tools, are not able to be removed from an item after they are inserted. Infusions can be put in legendary and upgraded equipment. Enhancements can only be retrieved using a high-end salvaging kit or upgrade extractor.
Recycled items
In the two recent world wars, shortages of natural resources pushed the world to embrace recycling. Nowadays, it is commonplace to recycle aluminum, plastic and paper to give them a new life as something completely different. Click the dice icon in front of the item in your Inventory to reroll it. Alternatively, you can click the button in a different lobby of a player and choose "Reroll". After rerolling an item, it will be removed from your inventory.
Sagbe is a Token Shop dealer in the game. The redemption of active codes will enable you to earn free rerolls on Fire Force Online. These codes can be used to claim various items, including Reroll Tokens and Clan Reroll Tokens.
These rerolls are useful in the beginning stages of the game, as you have to build up your inventory and dungeon equipment. upgrade item are not the best method of increasing your character's stats.
